I will soon be headed to my 4th area, with my 5th companion, all in
less than 6 months. I`ve always been the kind of person with a plan, I
mean, when I was 5 years old I basically had my entire life planned
out. And so, I don`t really like it when people mess up my plans..but
the Lord has been teaching me to accept change and go where he wants
me to go. I`m in Prados Verdes again for a few days and will soon be
headed to Salvatierra to work. Unfortunately, I won`t be training for
the rest of this transfer, but if all goes according to plan, I`ll
have the opportunity to train in Uruapan the next transfer. But I`ve
learned a lot of things these last couple weeks...a lot of patience,
love, and trust in the Lord. This work is an absolute joy and I
wouldn`t want to be doing anything else.
I had the chance to talk with the President`s wife, Hermana Egginton,
for a couple hours this last week. We were able to share some
incredible Spiritual experiences we`ve had in the mission and in our
lives and I was just so touched by the love she has for the
missionaries here and her ability to feel the Spirit. She talked about
how the things the Lord asks us to do are rarely easy, and for that
exact reason, they`re the things that most benefit us in this life,
the moments where we learn. That`s been so true in the mission. It`s
not easy, but so rewarding and a time of great growth. I`m starting to
see the fruits of my labors here in the mission field. While I haven`t
really been in any one area long enough to see baptisms, I`ve been
able to see the pictures and hear the experiences of the baptisms of
people I was able to find. I`m not sure if I wrote about the one time
during my training when we were walking and I felt impressed to walk
down a completely different street, but yeah, the woman we found in
that street was baptized a couple weeks ago with all of her family! We
might not always see the results of our work, but if we follow the
impressions of the Spirit, the Lord has a much grander plan than we
can see, and perhaps we might just be the means to plant the seed.
I LOVE YOU ALL! I appreciate your prayers and support and your
incredible examples.
Keep up the good work,
Hermana Anderson
P.S. I PROMISE I will send pic
